Whilst on a recent trip to Manchester, me and my friend popped into Selfridges for a browse. There's no place that makes me feel more a poor student than I already am than any other place on earth. Saying that, places like Selfridges for me are the ultimate therapy, I absolute adore wandering round and looking at all the brands, even if I may only be able to afford no more than a sock- it strangely soothes me. I stumbled upon Self Portrait and literally fell in love with the whole brand. I spent the whole time saying 'holy crap/oh my god/oh wow/bloody hell/just beautiful' whilst filing through the clothes rails. The pieces literally took my breath away. Ok I know I sound melodramatic but wow, this's what dreams are made of.

Self Portrait was launched back in 2013 by Central Saint Martins graduate Han Chong who is based in London. The brand is said to "incorporate designs that are inspired by street style and contrasting hard and soft silhouettes in experimental fabrics with unexpected textures which create a feminine and sporty aesthetic with classic details. The studio’s collections include statement cocktail dresses, androgynous jackets and perfectly structured tees"...of surprisingly, not so shocking prices. If you're feeling cheeky, and need something that little bit more fancy-schmancy, then Self Portrait is definitely where to shop. Watch this space.

If there's one brand that rules the online shopping world, it's definitely This brand just seem to be constantly pulling it out of the bag lately with celebrity collection collaborations and pieces of top quality all at pretty good prices too. They are also bang on trend with stunning 70s pieces from flares to fringing, paisley print and suede- it's basically one big amazing 70s party over on Miss Guided. Not only that but they have stunning evening pieces for nights out or on the beach like the palm print dress pictured above, or if you're feeling a little more Kate Middleton circa. that fashion show then this see through mini dress is going to catch a few short, MissGuided can do no wrong.

Lastly, a quirky but very cute brand i'm loving lately is Lazy Oaf, a brand that describes my personality perfectly but somehow makes it fashionable. Lazy Oaf are not quite like any other brand which is what I love the most. They have real individual, colourful pieces for the fun, daring fashionistas of the world who want to wear something that makes them stand out but feel comfortable at the same time. The brand is filled with pastels and pop prints with cute slogans and lazy shapes, perfect for all us lazy oaf's out there. Psst: a few pieces I picked above are on sale, including the cap at a cheeky £7.50.
