If there's something I believe investing in when it comes to clothes and accessories- it's all down to the basics. Whether that's a simple black dress you can add any accessory to or a loose t-shirt you can throw a leather biker jacket over and tuck into some comfy jeans, it just always makes choosing outfits easier. Whilst browsing round the shops in Limoges yesterday I picked up a few basic wardrobe staples. It's amazing how once you have a few basics in your wardrobe, it all comes together like a jigsaw puzzle and you no longer find yourself saying 'I have nothing to wear.' Here's what I got:
Organic cotton t-shirt | Zara
Zara is a great place to go for basics like t-shirts and jeans. They're also pretty cheap too. This white beauty cost me 7.95 (in euros) and it's made from pure organic cotton and it feels so light and comfy. As you can see the back is slightly longer which adds a bit of edge and the V-neck style is also rather flattering for the, ahem, cleavage region.
Striped print tee: Trafaluc at Zara
It was a toss-up between the same V-neck style with stripes and this more box shaped, round neck version...which I spotted while I was in the queue, yes I'm one of those indecisive people. I (obviously) eventually went for this and it was the exact same price as the other style anyway. I'm going to wear mine tucked into my UO denim skirt or worn loose over some skinny jeans.
Small ring chain (or as I like to call it "the circle of trust" a la Robert De Niro circa Meet the parents ) | H&M
I'm quite into layering jewellery lately, not majorly huge necklaces- just nice, delicate and minimalist chains of different lengths. I find it adds a bit of subtle sparkle to a basic look and this particular one cost me 2.99 (in euros) and goes well with both t-shirts #winning.
White trainers | H&M
I've been wanting to get my hands on a pair of white trainers for a while and I think they will look great with a long duster coat/blazer/leather jacket and denim skirt in the summer. I saw this pair in H&M for 24.95 (in euros) and they were exactly what I'd been looking for so snapped them up before you could say...anything really (I take shopping quite seriously ok). I can confirm that they are 1. very comfy 2. easy to style 3. sassy and 4. very clean (for now).
