Make Up Tutorial | Rockabilly Red Lips

So I decided to post a make up look for my first blog and went to go for a classic red lips rockabilly look. Enjoy!

For this tutorial I used:

  • Coralista’ by Benefit blusher and Benefit ‘Eye Bright’
  • Rimmel (100 Ivory) ‘Lasting Finish’ Foundation
  • 17 ‘va va voom’ mascara in Black
  • BB Nude Magique cream by Loreal
  • Rimmel Matte powder in 001 transparent
  • Bourjois ’Sweet Kiss’ Lipstick in 76 Rouge Fashion, Decleor lip liner in red & Bourjois eye shadow in 93
  • Barry M Liquid Eyeliner, Rimmel black eyeliner, white eyeliner & Grey pencil (for eyebrows)
  • Inc. essentials (Tweezers, Brushes, Lip brush, Eyelash curlers etc.)

Face: I applied ‘Amie’ Moisturiser after washing my face, this moisturiser is great for teenage dry combination skin as it leave skins feeling & looking matte and not oily like most moisturisers, it contains all natural good stuff and no chemicals…and it’s a decent price too. I then applied a light layer of Loreal's BB cream, this I find, can also work as a good primer to lock in the rest of your make up for the day. Afterwards, I put the Rimmel foundation all over for complete coverage. Then, I swept the ‘Coralista’ blusher onto the apples of my cheeks. I always have a Rimmel matte powder as it’s good for covering any shine and to finish off the look.

Eyes: I lined the bottom inner part of my eyes with white eyeliner, it makes your eyes look bigger and stand out more and then I lined the bottom outer part with black eyeliner and smudged it slightly. I then applied the Bourjois eye shadow to the eye sockets and then applied a thin line of liquid eyeliner with a flick at the end…I always start from the inner corner and work my way out…don’t worry if you make a mistake just wet a cotton bud, wipe it off and start again, I’m still learning to perfect it! I curled my eyelashes and applied mascara and applied more to the outer corners to give that fluttering look. I swear by Benefits ‘Eye bright’ pencil which I apply to the brow bone, outer and inner corners of eyes…it does exactly what it says and makes your eyes look brighter (you can also use it to enhance your cupids bow!). I used the tweezers to take away any stray hairs then filled in the eyebrows with a grey eye pencil and combed them with a brush.

Lips: I applied the Decleor lip pencil all the way round then used it to fill in the lips too, this gives more of a matte look rather than shiny lips and used the brush to blend it in. And if you’re going all the way, you can add a little black beauty spot beside the lips for the real rockabilly look and add a headscarf like me.

The finished look!
